The Customer Quality Technician will be responsible for collaborating with the Core and Thermal Customer Quality team to perform and/or coordinate testing and analysis on returned goods (complaints) to drive to root cause within defined KPI’s.


Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Customer Quality Analyst to receive products from customers/distributors.
  • Work with Customer Quality Analyst to fully manage CPC’s customer complaint/return process.
  • Photograph returned product and update investigation reports.
  • Collaborate with Customer Quality Engineers and CPC internal Test and Research Labs to perform/coordinate testing and analysis on returned goods to drive to root cause within defined KPI’s.
  • Perform review of internal manufacturing related documents on returned product lot numbers.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement projects that directly affect customer complaint trends.
  • Lead, train, and manage sort, rework, and various actions through component / product dispositions.
  • Manage and maintain organization of quarantined material.
  • Perform regular maintenance activities on laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain effective business relationships with customers, distributors, and end users.
  • Be a quality advocate internally and externally.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates support of Colder core values.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of machining and/or injection molding processes
  • Good technical communication skills with multiple engineering disciplines
  • Self-driven and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to self-prioritize and multitask in support of engineering/manufacturing projects

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two-year degree or certification in a technical discipline.
  • Experience with metal machining and/or plastic injection molding processes.
  • Experience with medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience with inspection methods, tools, and practices.
  • ERP software experience.
  • ASQ participation and certification.
  • Detailed knowledge of CPC parts or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; Word, Excel, & Power Point.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 10%

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, sitting is regularly required; use of hands and fingers, and talk or hear. Reaching is frequently required with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and/or stoop.
