Software Quality Manager

This position will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the software solutions and functionality for Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) North America. Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) process in both waterfall and Agile-Scrum environments, using those methodologies and continuous integration practices in a fast-paced development environment. Experience with various testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to effectively implement SW processes and continuous improvement actions. Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to comprehend requirements and address any concerns, working with cross-functional teams and SW professionals to drive optimal performance.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our software and associated QA practices.
  • Lead or co-lead the root cause analysis process for software defects
  • Conduct quality data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Participate in Agile software development activities and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering leaders, QA Engineers and Release Engineering
  • Participate in pre-production software quality checking, test strategies, test plans, and test cases, test automation strategy and security vulnerability assessment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software QA strategies with business objectives and project plans.
  • Support software quality deliverables and risk management throughout the software development lifecycle process, NPD-SAFe
  • Work closely with customer facing colleagues to pro-actively monitor software quality performance, metrics and dashboard
  • Actively participate in qualification and selection of external software vendors and partners
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Software development processes, coupled with an analytical and structured approach to software quality issues identification and problem resolution.
  • Typical Background/Previous Experience
  • Software development in Waterfall and Agile - Scrum Environments
  • 10 years of industry in quality assurance and testing
  • Working with software teams on identifying and resolving quality issues
  • Proficiency in using quality management tools to track and analyze data.
  • Ability to conduct technical risk assessments, such as using FMEA methodology and implement risk mitigation strategies
     

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC/IEEE standards for software development (e.g. 90003, 15504-SPICE, 12207, or 5055.
  • Masterful experience in agile development methodologies.

Work Arrangement : Onsite  

Salary Range : $105,000.00   - $129,000.00
