Sr Manager Product Quality

This position will be responsible for resolving product quality issues that arise during the sustaining and post launch phase ensuring Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) North America customers are delighted and satisfied. The Sr. Manager Product Quality will work with DFS customers, suppliers and internal teams to root-cause problems and drive resolution of issues. As an escalation lead for customer and field issues this position will ensure customer-facing teams, engineering, quality, supply chain and operations teams are aligned and actively engaged in continuous improvement for design, process, materials/suppliers, and test.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Interface with key customers and customer facing teams to ensure resolution of  product quality issues meet customer satisfaction and customer expectations.
  • Track both internal and external product quality issues from NP (new product development) to end-of-life with multi-functional teams including Quality, Design / Sustaining Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to drive sustainable solutions.
  • Identify systematic/process improvements involving product quality escapes.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to facilitate timely closure of complex issues with clearly communicated results.
  • Leverage analytical and data-driven models and dashboards for early identification of product quality issues and trends.
  • Lead escalation of product quality issues working closely with program, product and engineering teams.
  • Strive to build a continuous improvement mentality to develop and ensure a data-driven proactive quality culture.
  • Effectively interface at all levels of the organization including the executive level both internally and with the customer.
  • Manage quality issue diagnosis, root-cause determination, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions with the appropriate team(s).
  • Review failure analysis and corrective action reports through well-managed customer-facing communications.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key customer and internal stakeholders.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Master’s preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar function at high-tech manufacturing, electronic manufacturing industry with complex hardware and embedded software.
  • Experience with Product / SW Development Processes (i.e. PDLC, SWDLC)
  • 8+ years managing people working on product quality issues and solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience /certification in 8D, Fault Tree Analysis, Lean / Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving tools.
  • Statistics and analytical principles
  • Self-motivation with high sense of urgency and ability to successfully multi-task in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated success working in dynamic organization while leading a team through objectives with multiple priority levels.
  • Possess relationship management abilities; strong customer-facing skills.
  • Experience in managing, leading, and mentoring less-experienced team members.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
     

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in working within a global organization is a plus.
  • Excellent data diagnostic & analytical skills for large volumes of data
  • Familiarity with Retail Oil and Gas products and solutions

Work Arrangement : Onsite  

Salary Range : $122,000.00   - $156,000.00
