Job Title:        IT Shopfloor Intern

Through our summer internship, our goal is to provide meaningful engagements and challenging opportunities to rising-Seniors who are looking for more than your typical Internship over their summer. After completing your project(s), you will have an opportunity to present your results to senior company leadership and get real-time, immediate feedback on your work-product.

 

The goal of our internship is to give you a feeling for a meaningful working experience in a global company, while we get an opportunity to see what you can do when presented with challenges and opportunities.

 

Our IT Internships are project-based in development, controls, systems, testing, or operational. This role will assist IT management with skill and experience-level implementing new technology, monitoring and documentation existing processes to identify key areas of improvement.

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

You will be guided by structural goals and objectives and will have a responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects. Your manager will offer coaching, mentoring, and direction. You will be assigned to a technical project in one of the following disciplines:

  • IT Shopfloor Technology
  • IT Manufacturing process improvement

 

What are the basic qualifications?

  • Rising Junior to rising Senior level progressing towards a bachelor’s degree in related field (Computer Science/Information Technology Preferred) 

 

What are the preferred qualifications?  

  • Undergraduate students who are looking to gain experience through summer internship assignment and accelerated exposure to a broad array of information technology challenges faced by Dover’s diverse businesses.
  • Strong interest in information technology careers 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a global business environment. 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Strong interest in how information technology supports business processes. 
  • Demonstrates attention to detail /excellent time management skills. 
  • Geographical flexibility – open to relocate for summer internship.
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing environment is a must.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask.
