Platform Customer Service Expert

The Role: 

In this role you’ll be working as part of the Platform Customer Service export team managing international order flows in effort to reach service level agreements, meet compliance objectives and enhance our customer's overall experience.

 

You’ll have the opportunity to use your skills working with logistics professionals to support and process the export of our products.  You will join a team of experienced professionals dedicated to customer service and apply your skills to help improve customer relationships, share best practices from industry experience and creatively solve problems within logistics. You will be able to utilize your continuous improvement skills along with your knowledge of industry practices and regulations to drive process improvements on a wide range of complex logistical situations.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Rules, Regulations and Procedures – Follow ISO policies and procedures that conform to corporate practice.   Maintain a safe work environment and ensure both company regulations and trade compliance regulations are properly implemented and followed.
  •  Platform Management and Customer Relationships – Use ERP system and business tools to develop and drive order processing flows and implement best practices to improve customer relationships.
  • Order Management – Enter international orders and process shipping documents such as invoices, hazardous declarations, customs filings, etc.  Reviews orders for completeness, export compliance and company policies.
  • Ensure communication is followed and maintain all necessary files.
  • Enter and follow up on orders placed in the ERP to maximize service level and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely manner communication with customers and any other partner (carrier, custom broker, etc)
  • Process Export documents; maintain necessary records, declarations, files, KPI’s and reports.
  • Prepare single/bulk airfreight/ocean - LTL-Parcel shipments.
  • Daily / weekly metric tracking
  • Communication with supervisor and team members
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as ensuring continual compliance with government rules and regulations, changes in policy, and other government matters through daily monitoring.

 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of International Business Administration or Logistics experience
  • International Business Administration associate degree or related discipline 
  • 5 years of equivalent work experience in international order management, warehouse, or Logistics with a focus on Exports preferred
  • Bi-lingual Spanish candidates preferred, focused on a high level of customer service and team development
  • Knowledge of compliance principles and end-to-end supply chain concepts.
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Hazmat, 49CFR, IATA, OSHA IMO certifications/experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with both internal and external partners. Strong follow up abilities.
  • Detail and task oriented, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Able to work independently, work in a team environment, and be a team player in support of team goals.

Work Arrangement : Onsite  

Salary Range : $22.00   - $29.00
