Position Summary:  

The Regional Sales Manager, is accountable for the profitable growth of the Hydros business his territory.

He/she has responsibility for implementing Hydros Go to Market strategy as established by or in conjunction

with the Regional Sales Senior Director.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify and develop opportunities within the Southeast Asia region, including within Malaysia, Singapore.
  • Promotion of Hydro Systems complete range to grow the top line sales and protect and grow margins.
  • Strengthen our cooperation with strategic accounts in APAC.
  • Lead, develop and deliver business development opportunities that will enable rapid revenue growth, including but not limited to: Conceiving, developing and delivering sales strategies and commercial activities to support business growth.
  • Build commercial and value creation strategies with the APAC leadership team.
  • Analyze and translate market intelligence into execution plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Coordinate strategy account business at APAC level, and work with global strategy account business leader.
  • Collaborate with APAC Marketing to support commercial initiatives through the: Creation and implementation of promotional strategies to support the sales effort.
  • Identification of market intelligence needs, undertake and coordinate market studies and analysis as requested.
  • Identification of product needs and competitive analysis.
  • Contribute to Hydros new product development efforts through a comprehensive understanding of end user environments. Generate the business case and assist in the preparation of PDRs designed to drive business growth in region.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for partnerships and acquisitions of companies that can deliver growth for Hydro in existing and new adjacent market segments.
  • Communicate results and key performance drivers to management and peer organizations and administer the sales process.
  • Assist Regional Sales Senior Director to identify growth opportunity and develop APAC growth strategy.
  • Other responsibilities as business needs require.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • At least 10 years proven sales selling of value added (premium) products, preferably commercial/ industrial/technical product;
  • B.S. or equivalent degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Experience in the chemical cleaning industry, janitorial/sanitation, laundry, food service, building services, preferred.
  • Strong business development experience identifying targets, creating prospects and turning them into customers and maintaining long term relationships.
  • Superior management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability and desire to build and manage collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to build trust and create followership among team members.
  • Expert negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong capacity to coordinate and align different teams to common results, including conflict management.
  • Proven analytical/problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize, allocate and manage resources.
  • Comfortable (either through experience or desire) with Hydro type culture, i.e., lean, flat organizational structure, requiring hands on approach.
  • Hardworking, honest, ethical, competitive and committed.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills, required. Mandarin preferred.
  • Willing to travel 30-40%.
  • Ability to create value for customers addressing both known and unknown needs.
