Maintenance Technician

Summary

To maintain and install machinery/equipment and maintain facilities in consistent conformance with customer expectations.

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Repair light fixtures that are not working properly on the interior and exterior of the building
• Repair all doors on the interior and exterior that are working properly
• Replace ceiling tiles that are stained damaged, or missing
• Handles all plumbing fixtures, checking the function and replace if they are leaking, dripping or running constantly
• HVAC is working properly for all areas
• Fixes compressed air lines to when there are leaks
• Address any 5s related items that are identified during Gemba walks

Qualifications:

• Has basic building electrical knowledge – change light fixtures, outlets, light bulbs
• Has basic plumbing knowledge- replace toilet valves (both Sloan type and tank type), clear clogged drains, change plumbing fixtures
• Has basic carpentry, drywall, painting – patch drywall, paint (not coat) interior and exterior, rough framing fundamentals, ceiling tiles
• Uses forklift/vehicle fleet -  operate and repair/diagnosis leaks, rough running, no start conditions
• Read and comprehend- Electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic prints
• Thorough troubleshooting skills in CNC Mills and Lathes, welding power sources/wire feeders, chain hoists, industrial saws, presses and air compressors.
• Communicates well with technical support and service providers
• Can prioritize tasks as they arise
• Has sound machining and welding skills
• Understand 3 Phase wiring – Delta and WYE
• Computer literate – Office 365
