Graduate Trainee Engineer

The Role

The role is based around a series of projects targeted at developing a great foundational knowledge of an engineering business as well as developing your communication, project planning and problem-solving skills.  You will get the opportunity to spend time with and learn about the different business functions as well as spending time working in each of the engineering disciplines (Electronics, Mechanics, Firmware, Reliability) relevant to your experience.  The final part of the placement will give you the opportunity to complete a larger project or spend time working directly within one of the engineering departments.

The Scheme:

  • 2 Years duration
  • 3-month long projects in different departments to learn about the business​
  • Contribute to the day-to-day workloads of the department
  • 1 key project per department
  • Present Project update and personal learnings following each placement​
  • Exposure to other areas of the business where projects may not be available

What you need to have:

  • 2:1 or above in an Engineering or relevant Science degree
  • A team player
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • An interest in industry (Vision, automation, and industrial environment)

  • Able to commit to a two-year contract
