Position Summary:

 

This position is responsible for the sales and regional strategy of PSG’s Neptune equipment brands. This role encompasses achieving regional sales targets and driving the growth strategy. This role will help execute a coordinated/integrated product and service offering with product management as well as comprehensive market penetration programs.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Drives the sales activities and strategic direction for Sales Managers who will serve as local market experts for their assigned region
  • Works with the Channel Sales team and Sales Managers to develop the channel to market strategies for new business and drives the execution of those strategies in the region
  • Identifies required sales or partner resources to achieve strategies and sales targets
  • Researches market opportunities and gaps using multiple sources of market intelligence
  • Uncovers business drivers, new areas of opportunity, and ensures voice of the customer is part of strategies and plans
  • Understands market offerings of product and services, and works to close any identified gaps
  • Works with the regional sales organization to identify and close selling opportunities
  • Create plans for revenue and market share development
  • Identifying growth opportunities including target account lists
  • Defining the value proposition
  • Works closely with the operations team (product management, engineering, quality, scheduling, etc.) where needed to help drive orders through the factory
  • Uses tools and process to measure and manage all activities

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Degree level in Business Management, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Business Development, Sales position within a global manufacturing / engineering / industrial company
  • Previous sales experience with engineering/technical products is a must
  • Experience in the chemical industry, O&G, mechanical engineering, or with rotating products such as pumps, compressors, valves, turbines, etc will be considered very strong asset
  • Strong business development experience – identifying targets, creating prospects and turning them into customers and maintaining long term relationships
  • Previous experience in channel partner management
  • Track record of creating strong partnerships and influencing at all levels of the organization
  • Travel within North America will be required so must have ability to travel up to 75% (travel necessity may vary with business demands)
