A vacancy has arisen for Tool Builder - Lead, 1st shift

Fibrelite Composites designs, manufactures, tests and provides components and products to protect the environment and the consumer.

 

Physical Work Requirements:

 

  • Standing/ sitting 8-10 hours
  • Bending
  • Reaching
  • Pushing/pulling
  • Squatting
  • Must be able to use adhesives, lubricants, etc.
  • Small hand tools usage
  • Lifting 50 lbs./23 KG frequently
  • Work in manufacturing environment, including non-air condition

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing team to ensure targets are being completed on time.
  • Working with Technical Team to ensuring all drawings are being shared on time and are correct.
  • Tracking material, tool and inventory needs for the department.
  • Actively building tools and supporting engineering team.
  • Using panel saw and CNC milling machines (training will be given).
  • Using of hand held tools and power tools.
  • Understanding of technical drawings.
  • Maintaining safe conditions at all the times and ensuring safe work practices are followed by team at all the times.
  • Implementing all the company’s procedures and policies.
  • Communicating any problems or obstacles to Manager immediately.
  • Supporting the engineering team in daily tasks if required.
  • Notify management team on any delays and outages.
  • Responsibilities include implementing and sustaining manufacturing technologies that continuously improve operational excellence.
  • Assisting Manager in daily tasks to ensure all jobs are completed and production is not affected.
  • Ensuring that all equipment used in the department is properly maintained and operational at all the times.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhering to all required company policies.

 

 

 

Candidate Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in team leading strongly preferred.
  • Ability to operate all equipment and tools used in the department incl. saws, drills, angle grinders, CNC milling machines etc. (trainings will be provided)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in operating Counterbalance is preferred.

 

Required Skills:

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Good level of numeracy skill and comfortable dealing with figures.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
