Overview:

The Production Specialist is responsible for performing assembly and customer services related tasks of the Repair and Remanufacturing operations for Midland Manufacturing. This position will engage in written and oral communication with external customers, perform assemblies, generate invoices and process orders through Midland’s ERP system, Oracle along with other assigned duties, as required.

 

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Communicates with customers regarding orders, pricing and scheduling of parts/repairs
  • Creates and Processes customer work orders in Oracle order management and planning
  • Performs required transactions in Oracle to receive and ship customer orders
  • Performs assembly duties as assigned using standard procedures, tools, materials, machines and equipment
  • Performs disassembly and cleaning of products returned by customer
  • Follows well-established guidance from specified process instructions, blueprints, and verbalized instructions from other team members
  • Utilizes hand and power tools, builds sub-assemblies, and mounts components and parts to assemblies
  • Understand and perform to all quality regulations, standards and policies, including but not limited to ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003. Follow work procedures and ensure highest level of quality anc compliance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Competences and Capabilities:

  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions, and standard charts
  • Must possess proficient reading, writing, and computation skills
  • Must possess good mechanical aptitude demonstrated by success in previous machine operation or like activities
  • Must possess good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to continuously improve and learn new skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform housekeeping duties including 5S, coolant replacement, and TPM
  • Willingness and ability to rotate into other positions within the team as required to meet production requirements
  • Actively participate in defining idea and strategies to meet quality and performance objectives during improvement reviews within the team
  • Actively participate in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.)
  • Ability to problem-solve individually or as part of a group as job duties require

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma , GED or equivalent
  • Two or more years of relevant manufacturing experience preferably with mechanical assembly/disassembly
  • Experience with ERP system preferably Oracle

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is continuously standing, repetitively grasping and repetitively using fine manipulation with the hands.  The team member may be frequently required to walk, bend, squat, or twist as well as repetitively push or pull frequently up to 15-20 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds with assistance
  • This position is performed in a manufacturing environment.  Team members in this position may be exposed to loud operating machinery, temperatures variations with limited exposure to chemicals and vapors.  
  • Will use a variety of assembly presses, hand and power tools and, measuring instruments, etc to perform the required job tasks

 

Work Arrangement : Onsite  

Salary Range : $25.00   - $33.06
