This position is responsible for production planning management and procurement of direct and M.R.O. materials from domestic and international suppliers for TWG. 

 

Essential Responsibilities Planning:

  • Responsible for the supervision of department employees including the overall direction, mentoring, and training.  
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of the master production schedule, which determines the sequence and scheduling of the company’s materials, fabrication, assembly, and shipment processes to meet the delivery requirements of our customers.
  • Ensure and maintain the accuracy of the entry of the Sales forecast to the ERP system.
  • Participate as an active member of the Sales, , inventory, Operations, and Planning (S&IOP) processes for TWG
  • Ensure and maintain the accuracy of the entry of the Sales forecast to the ERP system.
  • Responsible for ad hoc analysis and audit of top-level sales forecast being loaded to Epicor for accuracy.
  • Balance production capacity by work centers with operations through the scheduling process.
  • Manage the schedule and optimize the cost, quality, and delivery performance. 
  •  Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the planning processes.
  • Works closely with all Department Managers, Customer Service representatives, and Supervisors to ensure product delivery commitments are met.
  • This position is also responsible for, the authority to follow ISO procedures, initiate action to prevent problems, document quality problems, contribute to problem solutions, verify implementation of solutions, control further processing when a problem is identified, protect the environment, including preventing pollution, analyzing, or identifying areas for correction or improvement.
  • Ensure efficient run multiples for production work centers to reduce set-up time.
     

Essential Responsibilities Procurement:

  • Managing and optimizing supplier performance, including continuous improvement, innovations, obsolescence, and reduction in total cost of ownership
  • Participate as an active member of the Sales, , inventory, Operations, and Planning (S&IOP) processes for TWG
  • Maintains and promotes sound relationships with suppliers and the business community.
  • Seek opportunities to leverage spend and volume to mitigate cost increases across TWG business units and in conjunction with Dover as appropriate!
  • Implement processes to ensure continuity of supply at the lowest possible supply chain cost while supporting Dover and TWG metrics including but not limited to inventory turns and on-time delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvements and efficiencies within the supply chains. Proposes and implements improvements to sourcing policies.
  • Manage best value countries (BVC), and international sources.
  • Acts as the liaison between suppliers and TWG business units
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of industry and commodity knowledge, handles special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Work with the Dover Supply Risk management team to mitigate any supplier risk to TWG.
  • Manage and facilitate contracts and pricing through the negotiation process.
  • Structure stocking agreements by TWG’s inventory goals and customer fill rate.
  • Ensure purchased inventory management supports and accomplishes TWG working capital goals.
     

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field; 4 years experience in materials management, procurement, or related supply chain fields; or equivalent combined of education and experience. APICS CPIM or CSCP preferred.
  • Must be able to travel as required and /or directed.
