Business Development Manager – Canada 

OPW Vehicle Wash Solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to support sales of PDQ, Belanger In Bay equipment and Kesseltronics wash activation and control equipment through our distribution channel. In addition to identifying and developing new market opportunities, the Business Development Manager – Canada Region will work with distributors and provide technical guidance on IBA orders and layouts. Major Responsibilities/Activities: 

  

  • Maximize sales potential with distributors and/or customers to achieve forecasted sales; develop new accounts; plan and manage sales activities with distributors and customers. 

  • Support distributors, North America Sales Manager – IBA, and Key Accounts teams in working with major oil companies, C-Store chain operators and auto dealers; support the non-oil company investor markets as requested. 

  • Work with distributors to improve their capabilities to effectively expand the OPW VWS presence in the marketplace. 

  • Support the establishment and implementation of effective sales tools and training programs for distributors that target sales growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability. 

  • Ensure distributors are aware of OPW VWS policies, procedures, and product lines. 

  • Encourage distributor attendance at equipment and sales training programs. 

  • Participate in and support the annual OPW VWS Summit. 

  • Investigate, document, and support the resolution of distributor and customer complaints and issues as they arise. 

  • Control expenses within established budget. 

  • Attend state, regional, and national trade shows as directed. 

  • Assist in collection of Accounts Receivables. 

  • Support OPW VWS sponsored customer service initiatives. 

   

Requirements: 

  • A minimum of 5 years sales experience is required, preferably in a distributor management or capital equipment sales environment. 

  • Prior experience within the vehicle wash industry is preferred. 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is preferred. 

  • Proficiency in both French and English 

  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment is required, preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are required. 

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to represent OPW VWS in an effective and professional manner. 

  • Must possess business administration skills, including experience with budgeting and expense control. 

  • Experience with developing tactical and strategic business plans preferred. 

  • Must be located within the Canada to meet travel requirements. 

  • Must be able to travel extensively. Two times/month regularly, more based on business demands. 

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
