SCOPE: 

The position of the Tool Room Tech will work in the Tool Crib along with Toolmakers.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Running reports in Cribware (inventory management software) by part number and work center
• Accurately pulling tooling based on the reports ran
• Accurately return tooling to designated cabinets and update Cribware
• Maintaining accurate inventory levels in Cribware to ensure adequate tooling is on hand 
• Update MRP (Shop Floor Plus) to current status of tooling by work center and part number 
• Enforce our Tool Breakage policy with Direct Labor including escalation to Engineering when necessary
• Sharpen taps, drills, thread chasers, dovetail tools, etc
• Breakdown and wash returned tooling - this requires physical strength and additional PPE including gloves and a PVC apron

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma, Technical/Trade School or GED
• Must be Mechanically inclined
• Ability to keep a clean and organized work area at all times
• Good communication skills
• Works well within a team enviroment
• Ability and willingness to learn and grow within the Toolroom organization
