The Opportunity: Manufacturing Engineer
DFS is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to drive the design, development, and implementation of efficient and robust production processes. You will be key to introducing new products (NPI) to the market while ensuring manufacturing methods are compliant and cost-effective. Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Process Innovation: Design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes for both new product introductions (NPI) and existing product upgrades.
- Engineering Collaboration: Partner with product and program managers to ensure seamless and timely product updates.
- Operational Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing tools (e.g., Kaizen, troubleshooting) to increase efficiency and control.
- System and Data Management: Manage and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routings within our ERP system.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure all production processes and procedures meet regulatory standards and support the Quality department with technical field issues.
- Technical Support: Serve as a technical resource for other departments, including customer service, procurement, and operations, for a wide range of issues.
- Automation and Digitalization: Investigate and integrate new technologies to automate and digitalize product manufacturing workflows.
Candidate Profile Required:
- Technical Expertise: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Mechatronics is preferred.
- Cross-Functional Acumen: Experience and familiarity with mechanics, electronics, and software, with the ability to interface effectively with engineering teams.
- ERP Proficiency: Strong understanding and hands-on experience working with ERP systems is essential.
- Methodical Problem-Solver: Possess troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to identifying root causes (e.g., 5-Why, 8D).
- Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities, and proficiency in English.
- Data-Driven and Results-Oriented: A clear understanding of how processes affect business outcomes and a track record of driving results.
- Prioritization and Composure: The ability to effectively prioritize tasks while maintaining a composure, even in a fast-paced environment.
