Position Summary

To strengthen our software development and test team in Bladel, The Netherlands, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Software Test Engineer. As a Software Test Engineer, you are responsible for conducting manual and automated testing to ensure that the software created by the software developers is working as expected. Level-3 field support will also be part of the daily activities.

You will work closely with the Test Engineers and Software Developers within our team.

The software team is responsible for the development, maintenance and testing of (embedded) software for several fuel dispenser computers platforms used in gas fueling dispensers worldwide. 

You will report to Sr. Manager Software Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing (project based) software systems releases during and after the development phase
• Test reports and problems/issues logging in bug database (Jira)
• Writing, updating, improving and reviewing of test reports, test plans and procedures
• Level-3 software support for field service and factory
• Increase own knowledge of products and systems
• Contrive, arrange, build, and configure necessary test setup (hardware, software and operating environments) as needed to complete assigned testing
• Automation of relevant test procedures

Candidate Experience and Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Software, with experience in Software Testing and Systems
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), Email, Teams, and bug tracking tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira)
• Experienced in coordinating test activities, with strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Able to meet deadlines in a dynamic, project-based environment, with experience in an international setting
• Basic knowledge of electronics preferred
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Team player with a creative, inquisitive mindset, and receptive to constructive feedback
• Organized, results-driven, dedicated, and detail-oriented
• Willing to travel abroad for up to one week
