Your Role
Are you ready to make an impact? As the Design Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization’s success. You will work closely with our dedicated teams to develop effective solutions that align with CPC’s strategic goals. Responsibilities:
- Accelerate growth at CPC by winning new business through technical expertise and new custom solutions.
- Partner directly with customers to gain an in-depth understanding of their application needs and match these needs with a strong understanding of CPC capabilities to deliver optimal solutions.
- Responsible for new custom product requirements definition
- Responsible for conceptual product design, proposals, and management with customer expectations from initiation to product delivery.
- Work closely with internal engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and manufacturability.
- Develop costing and pricing for complex projects.
- Partner with the sales team to develop and deliver winning proposals.
- Serve as a technical resource for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present CPC’s expertise, capabilities, and products to customers and sales channel partners.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive activity aligned with customer needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations.
- Demonstrate support of core values.
- Perform other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or electrical preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in product-related engineering.
- Minimum 1+ years of customer-facing experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with Creo, Pro/E, or similar CAD software.
Preferred Skills:
- Design experience in injection molded, machined, and stamped components
- Design experience in fluid handling
- Proficiency in FEA and/or CFD modeling
- Familiarity with ISO13485

- This range is the pay scale for this role in Minnesota. Individual compensation is based on skills, experience, and qualifications related to this position.
