Your Role

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule the movement of freight, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
- Liaise with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and other transportation partners to secure rates and schedules.
- Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Track shipments and communicate delivery statuses to internal teams and customers.
- Resolve any shipping issues or discrepancies, including delays and damaged goods.
- Maintain accurate records of freight costs, shipment details, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure proper handling, storage, and loading of freight.
- Monitor and analyze freight performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to freight and shipping.
- Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Logistics software required.
- Strong organizational detail and multitasking abilities required.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency required.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years freight coordination or logistics management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight transportation, customs regulations, and documentation processes preferred.
