You will work closely with our dedicated teams to develop effective solutions that align with CPC’s strategic goals. Summary: CPC’s Thermal Management Business Unit is focused on providing the connectors to meet the demands for high performance in liquid cooling of electronics applications. The Global Business Development Director is responsible for building and leading a global business development team.  This team is responsible for the growth of the thermal management business through CPC’s network of channel partners and integrators.  This team will collaborate with the application development team to ensure a positive customer experience throughout the supply chain in target markets; hyperscale data center (AI) and high performance computing.  In addition, they will drive specifications with channel partners in a wide range of other markets that utilize liquid cooling of electronics.  This position reports directly to the Business Unit Director, Thermal; who is located in Arden Hills, MN, USA.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a team of global business development managers.
  • Develop a strategic business development plan, aligned with CPC’s thermal management strategy, and ensure proper alignment of goals and objectives globally. 
  • Refine and execute an account management process for integrators and channel partners.
  • Negotiate and manage business and pricing agreements and contracts for strategic accounts.
  • Collaborate with the application development team to ensure a positive customer experience throughout the supply chain in target markets; hyperscale data center (AI) and high performance computing.
  • Drive specifications with channel partners in a wide range of markets that utilize liquid cooling of electronics.
  • Lead the demand planning portion of the business unit sales and operations planning process.
  • Create guidelines and best practices to encourage value selling and ensure CPC’s value proposition is properly conveyed. 
  • Drive the plan for opportunity management across the team. 
  • Work with Product Management and Application Development Managers to aid in voice of customer (VOC) to understand customer needs. 
  • Develop a strategy to leverage CRM effectively and efficiently to be a resource for the external teams to manage new customer accounts, opportunities, application details and large account management. 
  • Build strong relationships and networking with partners, influencers and strategic customers.
  • Actively participate in Thermal Management events and trade shows.
  • Develop and maintain an environment of high ethical values, open dialogue, and a culture of shared success.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related business, science or engineering degree.
  • Experience in strategic selling, account management, forecasting, and opportunity funnel management 
  • Strong leadership, team development, and matrix management skills; derives genuine satisfaction from being an effective mentor. 
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow senior-level customer relationships across multiple customer functional areas. 
  • Focused, with demonstrated work ethic, personal motivation, and enthusiasm; takes personal pride in accomplishment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a complex business environment and leveraging it towards goal achievement. 
  • Strong time management skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mentality. 
  • Ability to effectively present information cross-functionally.
  • History of leading others, including those who did not report to you.
  • Experience with CRM programs.
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA completed from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience managing a remote team of sales professionals focused on external clients . 
  • Prior experience as a remote individual contributor in a customer facing role. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain formal programs for large account management.
  • Strong ability to manage and negotiate commercial contracts.
  • Experience with multiple supply channels including distribution, integrators and OEM’s. 
  • Strong written and oral Mandarin communication skills
  • Prior experience in electronics industry/markets
  • Ability to leverage social media 

 

Travel:     

  • Up to 25%, domestic and international

    • This range is the pay scale for this role in Minnesota. Individual compensation is based on skills, experience, and qualifications related to this position.
