Quality Engineer II

CPC is a Dover company based in Minnesota (Minneapolis/St. Paul metro) with global offices and operations in Europe and Asia.

SUMMARY: The NPI (New Product Introduction) Quality Engineer role has direct responsibilities to support growth in CPC’s Thermal market. This position is tasked with supporting new product development in addition to providing component and product inspection verification to the Quality department in Receiving Inspection. This position must ensure that these activities are accomplished in compliance with applicable industry/regulatory standards and company quality objectives.

• Execute quality deliverables for new product development and retooling processes.

• Lead the component qualification deliverables associated with new or refurbished molding tools.

• Provide process verification of inspection procedures, resolve measurement discrepancies, and improve correlation in measurement method between suppliers and Receiving Inspection.

• Provide input to design and manufacturing documentation including material specifications, drawings, inspection procedures, and manufacturing procedures to ensure the resulting products can be adequately manufactured and tested.

• Support and facilitate risk assessment with cross-functional team members.

• Incorporate customer issues/requirements into processes and systems.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to specify quality characteristics and inspection plans for components.

• Collaborate with Tooling, Design, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Supply Chain in planning and executing new or refurbished tools.

• Apply appropriate statistical methods to evaluate validation and process data.

• Participate in continuous improvement collaboration, execution, and training.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline required.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Quality industry.

• Exposure to ISO: 9001 2015 and 13485 2016.

• Experience working with data and statistical analysis software.

• Strong communication skills.

• Experience with problem solving tools.

Travel:           

• Up to 15%, domestically and internationally
