Dover Fueling Solutions, a global leader in fuel dispensing, payment processing and point of sale technology, is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer/Architect. The Azure DevOps Engineer/Architect will guide the engineering and operational aspects of creating and maintaining a continuous development pipeline to take products through the various development stages and into the production environment. They will also develop the capabilities for deploying new environments and removing environments which are no longer necessary. They will also help to define the tools and components which are required and help to identify waste in the solutions to be able to maximize the investment made in Azure. This role is ultimately responsible for defining and implementing a robust, scalable, pragmatic and realistic cloud solution that works for our clients. This job reports to the Sr. Director, Global Platform Architecture. This position will be a local Austin, TX position, but requires travel (~10%) to coordinate worldwide solutions.  Candidate must live in reasonable commuting distance to Austin.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the efforts of product design and development with the more business-oriented operations and production to achieve successful new product launches
  • Design and implement cloud solutions which are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable, disaster recoverable and cost optimized
  • Deploy automation which reduces risk management and uphold the infrastructure of the organization
  • Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Industry standard tools and services
  • Write application deployment automation using industry standard deployment and configuration tools
  • Design and implement continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of provisioning and operating client test as well as production environments
  • Provide systems support including responding to monitoring alerts
  • Implement and stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling whilst recognizing opportunities for automation, design development, and other solutions in a comprehensive manner to boost operational efficiency
  • A wide degree of latitude and creativity is expected


The successful candidate will have/possess:

  • Proven leadership and technical skills
  • Superior knowledge of Azure, especially Azure PaaS solutions
  • Superior knowledge of managing and deploying Azure Cosmos, Service Fabric, Kubernetes, AppInsights
  • Superior knowledge Azure DevOps tools and processes
  • Thorough understanding of the software development cycle, software architecture and product development
  • Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Organization, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Public speaking/presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Qualification Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or comparable combination of education and experience is required
  • The successful candidate will have five (5) years of SaaS DevOps experience with an emphasis on Azure
  • The successful candidate will have five (5) years of application, data and system development


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of C#/.Net product development experience
  • At least 3 years of other Azure PaaS components such as DataBricks and PowerBI
  • At least 3 years of experience developing products in a high tech or energy related industry
