Dover Fueling Solutions is looking for a highly talented and motivated Business Development manager with a solid track record of success of building sales opportunities and forming connections with new and existing clients, preferably within the retail fuel industry. The role is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned business development objectives, representing the entire range of company products and system solutions, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customer needs and expectations are met by the company. In addition, they initiate the introduction and approval process of other Dover Corporation group products into the direct account as part of a true end-to-end product portfolio initiative. This role reports to the Senior Director of Sales and enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed, including coordinating company executive involvement with customer management. The Business Development Manager works closely with Regional Sales and Service Representatives to ensure local customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attracting new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in prospective customer accounts.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources to meet performance objectives and prospective customers’ expectations.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
  • Proactively leads company-strategic account planning processes that develop performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Up to 50% domestic travel with some international travel

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or Marketing with a minimum of 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Expert user of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • CRM experience, preferably Salesforce a plus
  • The ideal candidate will have C-Store site system industry experience that includes capital equipment, solutions selling and/or project management of IoT solutions, SaaS, and back-office systems
