Position Summary:

Continuous Improvement manager will lead and enhance our Continuous Improvement strategy implementation in our North America Operations. 

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager role is to: identify, lead, and execute the CI strategy using lean methodologies in manufacturing and commercial operations to deliver bottom line, quantified results.

This includes performing business assessment, planning, training, facilitation, execution of kaizen events, and sustainment through standard work and procedures. The CI Leader will drive the cultural transformation through the business, building effective matrix teams and driving involvement and talent development

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and execute Continuous Improvement projects (e.g., kaizen events, point kaizens, major project teams, etc.)  Evaluate operational and financial data perform qualitative analysis based on observation and discussion; supported by proposed budget and cost/benefit forecasts.
  • Facilitate and lead Continuous Improvement events as a subject matter expert while empowering operational staff and associates to present ideas and create improvements and solutions.
  • Collaborate with area Leaders to Identify and articulate project opportunities, participate with functional areas to design and execute project improvement plans (A3 , Root Cause  FMEAs )
  • Lead manufacturing lean projects related to materials management, Pull/Push   Kanban supermarkets.
  • Lead Culture transformation on Problem solving via CI Tools, and True Root Cause analysis
  • Build a Matrix team focusing on talent multiplication and utilization of individuals experiences and backgrounds
  • Support Campus wide functions through Coaching and Counselling
  • Define Campus CI Training Requirements for each functional areas, Collaborate in curriculum building, and training delivery.
  • Maintain Project effectiveness tracker and KPI Dashboards for Productivity targets   
  • Drive Value Stream Mappings of key transactional areas to generate efficiencies and productivity gains
  • Be CI Execution champion, Leverage role to remove roadblocks and ensure agile execution
  • Provide business CI Deployment progress status to site leadership
  • Ensure   CI projects and executions align with our Strategic plans
  • Formalize problem solving methodologies with data driven tools

 

Qualification Requirements:

  • Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written
  • Requires an BS degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management from a 4-year college or technical school or equivalent experience in operational environment with related experience.
  • Full working knowledge of Lean Concepts with demonstrated success  
  • Experience with Danaher Business Systems is a plus
  • Proven analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio , Minitab  
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Lean Certifications is a plus
