Engineer, SW Embedded Intern

Position Summary:  

 

As a Software Embedded Engineering Intern, you will play a key role in analyzing and modernizing the firmware landscape for our North American operations. This position offers a unique blend of firmware auditing and hands-on innovation, where you will help streamline our existing development toolchain while actively contributing to the next generation of smart hardware. You will dive deep into communication protocols and control systems, specifically focusing on the development and optimization of digital valve technology and CAN bus implementations. 

 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Work to help catalog and do analysis on current Firmware used in NA. 

  • Help document firmware tools and evaluate methods of streamlining how we work. 

  • Work on existing code and concepts for future products such as a digital valve. 

  • To do an evaluation on CAN running at lower baud rates and possibly implementing CAN based valve. 

Qualification Requirements: 

  • Enrolled in BS in an engineering discipline (preferably Computer Science or Software Engineering) 

  • Experience with Embedded Firmware and C language. 

  • Experience with Microchip device experience. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). 

  • Knowledge of cross-functional design teams. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with ST micro is a plus.
