The IT System Support Specialist services and supports the organization in all aspects of IT and Telephony: PC hardware and software support, provision PCs and load software, mobile device management, network services, and any other technical issues that may arise.  This individual responds, triages, and takes the necessary action to resolve client requests/problems. This role will also partner with other IT resources to escalate problems and issues that occur beyond the desktop/laptop to deliver and execute support functions.



Associates degree in computer related field (bachelors preferred) or technical school completion in an applicable technical discipline is required.  In lieu of education, a minimum of 3-5 years hands on experience or related support experience and some related coursework, formal training or certification may be accepted.

  • Must be Customer Service focused and understand relationship building in a professional and courteous manner.


Position Summary:

  • Position requires a strong technical background, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to research/implement new solutions as well as the ability to support and maintain a Microsoft environment in a fast paced, multi-site manufacturing setting.  Improves helpdesk response times, ensures network and data security, and provides better tools for our internal workforce will be an on-going responsibility.
  • Assist in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users.
  • Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating systems and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users.
  • Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage, providing items to be covered in training of users, making them more efficient as well as developing new systems to improve production and workflow.
  • Install new software applications or hardware, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary.
  • Add and maintain users on the network; assigning application access, ensuring security, and maintaining User configurations are within Wayne standards.
  • Provision workstations, printers and wireless devices
  • Create and maintain clear, concise documentation of processes and technical guides
