Position Summary:  The Logistics Associate will work in a team-based manufacturing environment performing a wide variety of tasks in the Shipping Warehouse including, but not limited to, shipment and receipt of goods while maintaining an environment that sets a high expectation on Safety and Quality.  Must be able to interact and work with peers on common goals, and be flexible in managing day-to-day operations in scheduling, staffing and productivity.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Follow departmental procedures regarding safety and practice safe work habits to ensure an injury-free environment
  • Follow all shipping procedures
  • Assist in picking and packing parts for sales orders, discrete jobs, etc.
  • Exercise independent judgment while maintaining constant communication with supervisor to resolve shipping issues
  • Proactively offer suggestions for process and quality improvements
  • Maintain 6S housekeeping standards at the workstation and in the work area
  • Ability to execute housekeeping responsibilities that are consistent with zone initiatives
  • Responsible for accurately processing and transacting shipments in a timely manner
  • Participation in daily cycle counting of finished goods inventory, helping to meet departmental inventory accuracy goal
  • Ability to successfully handle all aspects of domestic and international shipments
  • Ability to respond to the needs of our customers through a high level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Maintain ISO standards within the zone
  • Performs other duties as required


Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse/shipping environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts
  • Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day and lift up to 50lbs unassisted as
  • required
  • Flexibility in work schedule, due to fluctuation in work load (i.e. overtime / Saturday work day)


Additional Attributes:

  • Basic PC skills
  • Ability to follow both verbal instructions and written procedures
  • Experience using the Oracle Enterprise system
  • Understanding of picking and shipping documents, i.e. pick list, packing list, bill of lading
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast paced team environment
  • High level of accuracy; keen attention to detail
  • Solid basic math skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Hazmat and Dangerous Goods shipments
