This role will also support the accounting and financial statement impact of certain tax-related items — including indirect taxes, tax-related accruals, and income tax provision entries prepared by the tax function — ensuring complete and accurate recording in the general ledger and related account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong ethics, sound judgment, a bias for action, and the ability to work seamlessly across functions, countries, and cultures.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the regional finance leader for revenue accounting matters across North America, ensuring revenue recognition is accurate, complete, and compliant with US GAAP and company policy.
• Lead and oversee accounting for customer arrangements, including analysis of contracts, customer deposits and prepayments, pricing structures, rebates, variable consideration, distributor programs, contract modifications, returns, and other commercial terms impacting revenue recognition.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and related internal accounting policies, including preparation and review of technical accounting positions and conclusions for non-standard or complex transactions.
• Partner closely with commercial, legal, operations, tax, shared services, and site finance teams to evaluate the accounting implications of sales arrangements and support sound business decision-making.
• Own or coordinate key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close related to revenue, including journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics, reserves, and disclosure support.
• Support the accounting for tax-related balances impacting the financial statements, including coordination with the tax team on sales and use tax, VAT/GST where applicable, tax-related accruals, and income tax provision entries, ensuring amounts are accurately recorded, reconciled, and presented in the general ledger in accordance with company policy and US GAAP.

• Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment over revenue, accounts receivable, contract assets/liabilities, reserves, and related financial statement accounts, including relevant controls over tax-sensitive transaction flows and tax-related journal entries recorded by accounting.
• Develop and drive a regional audit and review program focused on revenue processes, balance sheet integrity, and control remediation/improvement.
• Support external and internal audits by preparing documentation, coordinating walkthroughs, and resolving revenue accounting and tax-accounting-related control questions in a timely manner.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with DFS and Dover requirements, including monthly reporting, quarterly reporting, year-end close, and other corporate deliverables.
• Provide technical support and coaching to regional and site finance teams to ensure consistent interpretation and application of revenue accounting policies.
