This position will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the software solutions and functionality for Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) NA Payment team. Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) process in an Agile, Scrum, and/or SAFe environments, using those methodologies and continuous integration practices in a fast-paced development environment. Experience with various testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to effectively implement SW processes and continuous improvement actions. Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to comprehend requirements and address any concerns, working with cross-functional teams and SW/HW professionals to drive optimal performance. 

 

 

Essential Responsibilities: 

 

  • Lead and manage a team of software testers to ensure efficient and effective test process 

  • Develop and implement test strategies, test automation strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure product quality 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and prioritize testing efforts 

  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness 

  • Track and report on testing progress, issues, and metrics to stakeholders 

  • Ensure the availability and reliability of testing environments (SW/HW) for ongoing testing activities 

  • Experience writing test plans, strategies and test cases 

  • Execute/analyze test cases and communicate results 

  • Help to troubleshoot and verify bugs and errors reported 

  • Create/Update test scripts based on bugs and changes/upgrades to the application 

  • Work with team members to find the root cause of defects 

  • Work effectively with members of the project team to ensure project success and champion high quality throughout the project 

  • Experience leading test automation initiatives 

 

Qualification Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent 

  • Minimum 4-5 years of software test experience 

  • Minimum 2-3 year in software QA leadership role 

 

The successful candidate will have/possess:  

  • Experience in software test within the payments domain 

  • Very good knowledge of testing methodologies, best practices and software development lifecycles 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and strong teamwork relationships 

  • Display a high-level of initiative and troubleshooting skills 

  • Business acumen 

  • Able to work independently and keep stakeholders informed of progress toward goals 

  • Experience with Agile software development and Scrum/SAFe methodology 

  • Hardware/Electronic related knowledge 

  • General IT knowledge 

  • Network administration basics
