Manager - Forecourt Optimization Sales

Location:

Austin, TX, US, 78728

At Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS), a Dover company we are taking fueling and convenience retail to the next level. We are passionate about cultivating excellence in everything we do, but what really fuels us is our people. They’re the heart of our company. As an employee, our promise to you is that you’ll work on new and innovative products and solutions, be mentored by managers and teammates who are collaborative, caring, and act with integrity, and have the opportunity to grow in ways that are meaningful to you. Unique and interesting projects – both locally and globally – will challenge you and allow you to pursue different and rewarding career paths.

Headquartered in Austin, TX, DFS has a significant technology development and manufacturing presence worldwide, including facilities in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Overall Scope:

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) is evolving from equipment manufacturer to intelligent systems partner for the global convenience and fueling industry. As operators demand more uptime, better performance visibility, and improved total cost of ownership, DFS is leading the shift toward connected forecourt optimization through platforms such as DX Monitor, Site IQ, and ClearView. This role is at the forefront of that transformation.

The retail fueling industry is entering a new era of connected performance management. Operators are demanding insight and predictability — not just equipment reliability. DFS has the installed base and technology platform to lead this shift. This role gives you the opportunity to help redefine how the forecourt is managed — and how DFS monetizes performance intelligence. If you want to sell software that makes hardware smarter, more reliable, and more profitable, this is the platform.

The break/fix service model is fading. Operators want insight, predictability, and performance intelligence. As Manager, Forecourt Optimization Sales, you will lead the commercial expansion of DFS’s remote monitoring, diagnostics, and site intelligence platforms. You will help retailers transition from reactive maintenance to proactive, data-driven site management. This is a consultative growth role — selling a change in mindset as much as a product. You will partner with operators to demonstrate how software improves hardware uptime, reduces service costs, optimizes performance, and delivers measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

1. Revenue Growth in Connected Site Solutions
•    Drive adoption of DX Monitor, Site IQ, ClearView, and related performance platforms.
•    Position DFS as a long-term optimization partner — not simply an equipment supplier.
•    Build ROI-driven business cases centered on uptime, service cost reduction, performance analytics, and lifecycle management.
•    Expand recurring revenue across regional and enterprise customers.
2. Paradigm Shift Selling
•    Educate customers on the value of remote diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and performance analytics.
•    Help organizations move from break/fix service models to proactive performance management.
•    Quantify total cost of ownership improvements enabled by connected software solutions.
•    Address resistance to change through structured, fact-based selling.
3. Technical & Operational Credibility
•    Understand how dispensers, tank gauges, payment systems, and networking components function in the field.
•    Explain clearly how software overlays enhance hardware performance and uptime.
•    Engage service leaders, operations executives, and IT stakeholders in meaningful conversations.
•    Partner with Sales Engineering to scope technically sound deployments.
4. Market Development
•    Identify early adopters and accounts most ready for modernization.
•    Develop repeatable commercial playbooks for selling performance optimization.
•    Provide structured feedback to Product and leadership based on field insight and competitive activity.

What Winning Looks Like (12–18 Months):

•    Measurable growth in connected services adoption.
•    Clear pipeline of recurring revenue opportunities.
•    Customers shifting service strategies based on DFS insight platforms.
•    Demonstrable uptime improvements and cost savings attributed to DFS solutions.
•    Strong internal alignment positioning DFS as a systems optimization leader.

Requirements:

•    5+ years of experience selling software, SaaS, monitoring platforms, or operational technology solutions.
•    Ability to connect technical capabilities to financial outcomes.
•    Experience in consultative, value-based selling.
•    Comfort engaging service, operations, and IT leaders.
•    Strong commercial discipline and deal-shaping ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Experience in fueling, convenience retail, field service, IoT, or infrastructure-heavy environments.
•    Familiarity with remote monitoring, diagnostics platforms, or asset management systems.
•    Understanding of total cost of ownership modeling.

The Mindset We Value:

•    Curious about how systems perform in the real world.
•    Comfortable challenging legacy operating models.
•    Resourceful in proving ROI and driving adoption.
•    Energized by building recurring revenue streams.
•    Competitive and motivated to win share in emerging solution categories.
•    Willing to roll up your sleeves and understand how equipment actually works.

We are #EnergizedByGrowth.
