The Material Handler will work in a team-based manufacturing environment performing a wide variety of tasks in the Wayne Production Operation including, but not limited to, delivery of material to work stations, ensuring count accuracy and an environment that sets a high expectation on Safety and Quality.  Must be able to interact and work with peers on common goals, and be flexible in managing day-to-day operations. 

 

Essential Responsibilities: 
• Investigate, address and resolve delays in 2 Bin part delivery to operator work stations
• Partner with Warehouse Team to resolve replenishment issues
• Order low use parts or special parts per broadcast report. Ensure accurate delivery of parts from STK and proper delivery to work station with Dispenser Identification as required
• Ensure proper and accurate accounting of all material and inventories
• Assist in daily Tugger operations as required
• Reconcile discrepancies of material receipts as necessary
• Assists in performing cycle counts as required, complete Inventory Verification forms as required
• Assists Inventory Team in preforming location audits
• Assists in maintaining proper labeling of parts bins in the zones, address required updates as necessary
• Return of excess inventory to warehouse
• Exercise independent judgment while maintaining constant communication with material team  to resolve inventory issues
• Active Participant in the Tier One meeting
• Practice safe work habits to ensure an injury-free environment; actively involved with safety audits, near miss/first aid reports, safety hazard training
• Maintain ISO standards within the zone
• Performs other duties as required 

 

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years of experience in material handling or similar roles and responsibilities (picking, packing, pulling parts)
• Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum 10 hours per day and lift up to 50lbs unassisted as required

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts

• Valid Driver License 
 
Additional Attributes:
• Desire Hazardous Materials Experience
• Understanding of  Wayne part number and inventory system a plus
• Experience using the Oracle Enterprise system
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and written procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• High level of accuracy; keen attention to detail
