This role will be accountable for the Product Management of DFS North America (NA) payments and payment third party integration focussed on POS/EPS integration. The role is North America market focussed and will report to and take strategic direction from the Product Management NA Payments. They will define, lead, and align the global vision and roadmap for capabilities and services exposed by the platform for consumption by product groups within DFS, by partners, and customers. This role is focused on NA region (USA and Canada) to optimize and deliver growth, profit, and market opportunities.  This role will work largely independently with direction setting and coaching from the North America Product Management on complex projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Product Definition

  • Lead new product, capability, and service definition for current and future product offerings of the payment ecosystem platform and any enabling technologies, including terminal support solutions such as EMV Terminal protocol, EMV and PCI certification package.
  • Work closely with Payment software engineering and third party integration support team (engineering) to lead POS and customer driven requirements.
  • Lead the drafting of market needs, internal and external product requirements, and building of financial models to support platform investments.
  • Work with external and internal teams to ensure EMV and PCI requirements of North America region are met and support POS and customers with Integration, User Acceptance, beta and EMV/PCI certification.
  • This function will be responsible in prioritizing third party integration efforts internally and prioritizing POS/customer driven software releases.
  • This function is required to work closely with DFS commercial team and establish prioritization
  • This function is responsible for POS and Customer lab relationships and addressing any of their concerns with regular cadence and relationship meetings.

 

Product Compliance

  • Responsible for understanding and mapping payment products compliance requirements and drive engineering to maintain product compliance.
  • Responsible and work with POS/EPS to maintain merchant PCI, EMV L3 certification and any NA regional compliances.
  • Responsible in maintaining certification documents required for POS/EPS L3 certification.

 

Product Road Map

  • Provide a long-term vision and positioning for the platform, services, and capabilities to enable POS/EPS interfacing with DFS payment software and hardware.
  • Define global product roadmaps for an ongoing three-year window, including new service introduction, global product, and platform consolidation, and end-of-life strategies to achieve our AOP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic product and feature roadmaps systematically leveraging the voice of market; customer, prospect, competitive analysis, technology and channel partners
  • Ensure alignment of the product road map with R&D product development schedules, preproduction, production schedules, sales and marketing, and overall strategic marketing.

 

POS and Customer coordination.

  • Coordination with POS and customer labs to enable EMV L3 certification of DFS payment products
  • Collaborate with Engineering to integrate new feature requests and resolve bugs that are reported by POS and Customers.
  • Maintain EMV L3 certification package which is intended to distribute to POS and vendor labs.
  • Responsible to drive User acceptance and beta requirements of POS and customers – to enable/ensure product, software, hardware and feature releases

 

Leadership & Collaboration.

  • Collaborate with the Engineering Teams, Engineering Architects, and other Product Managers to ensure cohesion and alignment of strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Solutions Marketing team on competitive analysis, market assessment, and release management.

 

Work experience requirements:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of product management or engineering experience, preferably in payment hardware and software solutions targeting in the payment ecosystem.
  • Minimum two years of regional accountability for a product portfolio
  • Subject matter expertise in payment platform architecture and product compliance for PCI and EMV (L1, L2 and L3).
  • Understanding POS functionality and experience in fuels space is must to have.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams in multiple time zones.
  • Experience of complex interdependent projects/products.

  • Experience in leading product development with products deployed in the payment ecosystem
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite and Project products.
  • Possess basic financial skills.
