Position Summary:

Our name is new but you already know us. Legacy Wayne Fueling Systems is now part of Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS). Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Wayne is a technology leader in the manufacture, supply and service of retail and commercial petroleum fuel dispensers, retail automation control systems, payment card processing terminals, point-of-sale systems and technology services.  The Production Control Specialist will serve the role as the primary point of contact for manufacturing and all material related needs. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage all production orders
  • Create and maintain pick/kit lists and work shortages as necessary
  • Communicate with other functional departments on job priorities, expedites, shortages, etc..
  • Investigate BOM exceptions required of manufacturing to insure ERP BOM are accurate
  • Be responsible for insuring that all production orders are transaction properly and in a timely manner
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customer solutions for order status/expedites, and resolving other issues as it pertains to customer orders, etc.
  • Proactively offer suggestions for process and quality improvements
  • Follow all production control/company procedures
  • Will be responsible for ensuring material is available to support the production schedule from the warehouse and will release and manage production orders,
  • Serve as conduit between production and planners/buyers on all day to day tactical material issues
  • Partner with material planner to expedite material as required through receiving, QC, warehouse logistics to support production builds/order fulfillment
  • Drive resolution for materials issues which includes working with Purchasing, QA, QC, and Production personnel to evaluate material shortages, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate the replenishment for the appropriate inventory levels.
  • Support all non-routine material requests from Manufacturing, coordinating with the production planner, WAP personnel, warehouse personnel, etc.
  • Conduct job variance analysis on any job additions/substitutions as well as quantity variances for new material.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in warehouse/shipping/manufacturing environment
  • Flexibility in work schedule, due to fluctuation in work load (i.e. overtime / Saturday work day)
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Ability to follow both verbal instructions and written procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast paced team environment
  • High level of accuracy; keen attention to detail
  • Solid basic math skills
  • ERP experience in Materials/Procurement/Manufacturing modules
  • MS Office applications knowledge is preferred


Essential Functions:

  • Ability and willingness to sit or stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day, for extended periods of time depending on Overtime needs for the business
