Production Operator - Expectations

Position Summary
Performs a wide variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations based on procedures and production orders. Able to perform more advanced production duties. Requires minimal level of supervision. 

Major Responsibilities
Perform the full range of duties necessary to build and assemble units in their respective zone
Work with Zone Team Members to execute daily tasks that are consistent with achieving the daily Task
Participate and promote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided including PPE usage
Execute housekeeping responsibilities (6S) that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives
Identify, register and inform to the immediate leader any kind of Quality/ Non-Conformity in the product assembled.
Enhance proficiency within the Zone in active participation in Employee Suggestions Program
Engage in the Zone Metrics Indicators to drive continuous improvement / problem solving in the zone; actively identifies detractors and records them on the Tier Production Boards
Demonstrate ability to use power and hand torque tools
Ability to effectively/clearly communicate and follow both written and verbal instructions
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events and capability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands

Qualifications / Requirements
Ability to read and understand working instructions
Ability to communicate effectively and follow both verbal and written instructions
High level of accuracy; keen attention to detail
Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as required
Basic PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes
Ability to use power and hand torque tools
Familiarity with Engineering Drawings is preferable 
Familiarity with Wiring Assembly Processes is preferable

Working schedule:
Day shifts - Monday - Thursday. Willingness to work weekends if necessary.
