Position Summary: 


Wayne Fueling Systems, one of the world’s leading suppliers of fuel dispensers, payment terminals, forecourt control devices, point-of-sale and other measurement and control solutions to the retail and commercial fueling industry, is seeking a Production Operator I – Production Operator. This is the entry level position in the Wayne manufacturing model. The successful candidate will report to the team captain of their respective areas, and will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:


Position Responsibilities:

  • Advance in their job duties and abilities through on-the-job experience
  • Perform the full range of duties necessary to build and assemble units in their respective area
  • Work with Team Members to execute daily tasks that are consistent with achieving the daily Takt
  • Participate and promote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided
  • Ability to execute housekeeping responsibilities that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives
  • Ability to understand Quality and continuous improvement initiatives as they relate to the tasks in their respective zone
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp and execute process-related activities
  • It is expected that enhanced proficiency within the Zone will result in active participation in Ideas-are-Free (IAF)
  • Ability to understand and engage in the Tier1 daily management metrics to drive continuous improvement in the respective area and actively identifies detractors and brings them to awareness
  • Engage in the Dover culture
  • Maintain a safe work environment; monitor and enforce all safety procedures, PPE, 5S, and housekeeping



The successful candidate will have/possess: 

  • Experience and Knowledge of the Wayne product line with in a manufacturing role

  • Ability to collaborate with team members to overcome detractors that occur in the daily build
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Able to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes, i.e. ADP, Wayne University, Outlook email; Oracle ERP system

Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability and willingness to stand for a minimum of 8 - 12 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as required
