Position Summary:

In this role, the Aftermarket QA Analyst will utilize his/her experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and serve as a hands-on quality leader interfacing with associates ranging from production operators, engineers, suppliers, ISO auditors, and more.  Additionally, you will drive quality metrics, continuous improvement initiatives, and lead by example to foster CI culture.

 

Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Customer complaints – will collaborate with other team members on complaint investigations, data capture/updates, trends analysis, and RCCM activities
  • Equipment warranty – will collaborate with other team members on post-mortem analysis of returned materials, data capture/updates, trends analysis, and RCCM activities
  • Lean Activities – will participate in daily/weekly 5S activities, on-going process efficiency improvements, planned Kaizen events and collaborating with other Aftermarket Products team members on mini Kaizen activities
  • Supplier warranty RMA administration – will be responsible for disposition of field returns, still under supplier warranty, back to vendor for replacement/repair.  Will also coordinate with suppliers regarding findings/repair data on tested/repaired items and will report results back to warranty team
  • Inspections – will be responsible for performing, and/or guiding receipt inspections, kit BOM analysis, judgment calls on new/unused materials, judgment calls on cosmetic issues with customer-facing materials, usability issues with raw or FG materials
  • ISO – will collaborate with others on Aftermarket Products team to audit internal process, update documents, and maintain training matrices

  • Must be familiar with Lean principles
  • Technical skills: Must be able to read/follow technical drawings/product specifications and use basic electronic & mechanical measurement tools
  • Dexterity & mechanical skills: must be able to manipulate specialized tools & materials to take apart and reassemble objects for analysis and to ensure proper functionality

 

Education & Experience:

 

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years’ experience in quality assurance/improvement role

 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance and 1+ years’ experience in quality assurance/improvement role
  • Associate’s degree in Quality Assurance and 2+ years’ experience in a quality assurance/improvement role
  • ASQC certification and 2+ years’ experience in a quality assurance/improvement role
