Dover Fueling Solutions, a global leader in fuel dispensing, payment processing and point of sale technology, is seeking a Serviceability and Supportability SME specializing in SaaS Operations Delivery and Fulfilment. The  role will focus on insuring that Serviceability and Supportability is defined, designed, prioritized and built in to the DFS Suite of SaaS Solutions.  Additionally, this role will collaborate across the organization to identify and implement services delivery improvements and automation opportunities.  This job reports to the Director of SaaS Operations.

Position Responsibilities:


Technical Skills:

  • Dev/Ops practices, procedures, and execution for SaaS Solutions
  • Deployment Planning, Execution and Validation skills
  • Deep technical understanding of application and cloud-native deployment and design, including middleware options, protocols, API gateways, and platform infrastructures.
  • Experience with networking and networking technologies
  • Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls
  • Experience implementing and operating mission critical technology components with HA, DR, and Business Continuity capabilities
  • Experience with multi-tier system and service design and development for large enterprises
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure as a Service, Infrastructure as Code and related concepts on public cloud
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Ansible, DSC, Puppet, Chef, Salt
  • Experience with claims-based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC/Azure B2C), MFA, and RBAC
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code

Strategy & Planning:

  • Deployment of SaaS Solutions that are optimized for Operations Serviceability and Supportability
  • Analyzing and optimizing operations and support practices, focusing on automation whenever possible.
  • Identify SaaS and Support operational efficiency opportunities and mitigating measures while end state solutions are designed.
  • Looks across teams with a focus on alignment and dependencies
  • Gains a thorough understanding of Operations needs and guides teams to design infrastructure platforms and business processes that meet end user requirements.
  • Translates product and project goals into infrastructure strategy and clearly communicates direction and priorities to teams and business partners
  • Determines value to the business of anticipated Systems Operations efforts
  • Identifies goals, metrics, and appropriate analytics to measure the performance of Systems Operations teams; continually makes recommendations and refinements on approaches based on learnings
  • Reviews recommended solutions and work of Systems Operations to ensure alignment with company, stakeholder, and end user priorities

Delivery & Execution:

  • Collect and document existing process, procedures, tools, systems, and such.
  • Analysis and Discovery of Operational Improvement Opportunities
  • Cross functional collaboration on best practices and standardizations
  • Identification and implementation of automation opportunities
  • Provides regular status to leadership regarding progress of Systems Operations efforts
  • Manages, reviews, and approves purchase requests for software

Support & Enablement:

  • Removes roadblocks and obstacles that may impair SaaS Operations to help ensure efforts meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
  • Receives and prioritizes escalations and incoming requests from product teams and stakeholders
  • Guides the production of in-house documentation around solutions
  • Monitors tools and proactively helps teams struggling with systems issues

The successful candidate will have/possess:  

  • Proven leadership and technical skills
  • Superior knowledge of cloud product systems, cloud solutions and software-as-a-service offerings.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development cycle, software architecture and product development.
  • Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization, time management, and prioritization skills.

 Qualification Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree or experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of infrastructure + cloud experience in a solution architecture role using service and hosting solutions, such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms
  • Microsoft Azure Architect certification desired
  • Network relevant certifications desired
  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing support, software services, and/or system administration for a large end-user community
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Agile (Scrum) methodology.
  • Team player and self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Familiar with tools such as VSTS/TFS, MTM, TeamCity, Jira, Bamboo, BitBucket and others.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, both verbally and in writing.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Actor Model design and development.
  • Experience with microservices design and development.
  • Experience developing in Azure Service Fabric.
  • Experience using modern Web UI technologies.
  • Experience using DevOps tools for scripting, test automation, build automation, deployments, etc.
  • Experience with Azure environment administration.
  • Experience in downstream oil & gas and/or retail industries.
