3rd Eye is disrupting the traditional Fleet Safety Video Monitoring and Telematics industries with leading high-quality media and reliable digital delivery. Our services are engineered for high availability, maximum reach, and cost savings that we can pass on to customers.  Our customer can watch live streams or video events instantly, from any device to monitor their vehicle fleet. Our technology is the cornerstone of our industry; our customers use it to improve their fleet safety, operational and maintenance performance.

 

We are looking for a Senior Automation Test API Engineer to join our 3rd Eye Digital Engineering team in Austin, TX. The Senior Automation Test API Engineer will ensure the high-availability of our web services and ensure compliance with SLAs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Define and maintain a QA process for Web Services testing.
  • Develop and execute test plans for different projects.
  • Write acceptance criteria and develop them into test cases.
  • Develop test automation for existing and new Web Services projects.
  • Keep abreast of new testing methodologies and recommend new tools and process changes.
  • Coordinate and collaborate well with developers, product owners, and other QA team members.
  • Develop web service monitoring for SLA compliance.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science-based discipline.
  • 5+ years experience in test automation roles.
  • REST API and web services testing experience.
  • CI/CD tool experience (eg. Jenkins).
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (eg. JIRA).
  • Strong knowledge of testing SQL databases.
  • Programming knowledge in Java.
  • Experience writing unit tests (eg. JUnit).
  • Experience in Agile Software Development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Expertise with cURL, Proxies and Wireshark.
  • Experience with all phases of the product development cycle from inception through deployment and maintenance.
