Overall Scope:

 

The Senior Manager of Product Management for the fueling industry’s most innovative customer experience platform plays a critical role on the NA Product Management team at Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS). Responsible for DFS’s Anthem UX platform (primarily software and integrated enabling hardware), the Product Senior Manager will define the product roadmap and execute strategies and tactics to drive products and enhancements from ideation to greatness while increasing market share and profitability. Core responsibilities include ensuring that the product fulfills NA customer requirements and business objectives while achieving DFS business goals, blending market insight with business strategy to steer product development and collaborating closely with engineering/R&D, manufacturing, sales, DFS partners and marketing teams.
 

Responsibilities:    

 

•    Identify market opportunities, understand customer needs, and define the overall strategy and goals for the Anthem UX platform and all related fuel dispenser and EV charger applications and integrations.
•    Create the product roadmap for the product portfolio with a clear plan on how new NA market opportunities aligned with new product features will deliver the annual revenue and profit plans.
•    Manage the revenue and margin for the product portfolio including pricing.
•    Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to understand the market needs and the product’s position within the market. 
•    Establish relationships with key accounts and market segments while actively seeking Voice-Of-Market (VOM) and product feedback.
•    Accountable for product portfolio lifecycle from definition through End-of-Life activities. Throughout the product lifecycle, monitor product performance against key metrics and goals. Based on this data, make informed decisions to optimize the product portfolio. 
•    Develop a close collaboration with the commercial sales team including forecasting, win/loss, and competitive analysis.
•    Demonstrate excellence in execution; aligning key stakeholders to decisions, engineering and operations, highly collaborative with cross-functional partners and customers.
•    Support and work closely with the product manufacturing and SaaS organizations to actively maintain product quality and operational margin.
•    Communicate with stakeholders, including company executives, to report on product performance, progress, and future plans.
•    Lead competitive benchmarking efforts to ensure market positioning is consistent with strategic objectives for the product for the product line.
•    Collaborate with select customers to capture the return on investment (ROI) for how the adoption of the Anthem UX platform has positively impacted their business.
•    Monitor the overall volume, revenue, profitability, hit rate and warranty costs of the product lines.
•    Periodically visits (with sales) customer sites to establish and maintain relationships with key customer contacts thus maintaining a deep technical intimacy with all aspects of the product and its application.
•    Assist in any necessary training as needed: customers, engineering, support, sales, field service etc. 
•    Provide tactical sales support as necessary, including presentations and demonstrations to key customers. 
•    Collaborate with Marketing on defining and creating all needed product literature and documentation including web site content and social media campaigns.
 
Experience:

 

•    6+ years of relevant product management experience (ideally in software/hardware customer interfacing SaaS platform solutions).
•    BS/BA required or equivalent experience.
•    Knowledge in the retail or commercial fueling industry (gas stations, convenience stores, point of sale, loyalty programs, etc.) preferred but not required.
•    Prior experience in UI/UX product development.
•    Demonstrated success in growing market share, developing new products, and creating brand loyalty.
•    Demonstrated history working with a dynamic sales team with multiple sales channels.
•    Experience in leading new high-tech solutions and communicating features, advantages, and benefits.
•    Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

•    Ability to quickly learn and understand DFS products, solutions, customers, and overall market.
•    Highly motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills. Continuously driving for results.
•    Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, including roadmap creation, cost management, and revenue/profitability targets.
•    Financial acumen with the ability to create business cases to support innovative ideas for new product enhancements.
•    Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential for fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams and leading them towards common goals. 
•    Strong attention to detail in all areas of the position.
•    Able to effectively operate as a matrix manager in coordinating people and resources from multiple areas of the company to easily handle timelines and project deliverables.
•    Troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills.
•    Adaptable to navigate changing market trends, new technologies and organizational needs.
•    Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to handle several initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
