Position Summary:


Dover Fueling Solutions, a global leader in fuel dispensing, payment processing and point of sale technology, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our global secure payment products. The person will be a key member who embraces agile methodology and practices. This role will design, develop, test and deploy payment processing, EMV, and Point-to-Point Encryption. Plus integration with DFS external vendor components such as POS, PED, secure crypto devices, video displays, contact and contactless card readers, scanners and printers. This is an individual contributor position, and reports to the Manager, SW Engineering.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Participate daily standup, sprint planning, review and retrospective, and product backlog grooming sessions
  • Complete individual assignments defined in each sprint with minimal supervision
  • Assist to triage customer’s reported field issues closely with Global Product Support and Help Desk teams
  • Apply good judgment in meeting tight schedules while maintaining superior quality
  • Design, develop and maintain a portfolio of payment services
  • Proactively seek ways to incorporate new and creative ideas and methodologies into software development efforts by keeping abreast of current methodologies, technologies and tools
  • Collaborate with payment team members to ensure project success and champion high quality throughout the project

Qualification Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of software development experience within Windows environments
  • C# and .NET coding experience using Visual Studio IDE
  • Familiar with object-oriented and multi-threading programming
  • Team player and self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, both verbally and in writing



  • Real-time embedded development experience, preferably in WinCE environment
  • Ethernet, serial communication, USB, video/audio development experience
  • Comfortable working with hardware simulators and tools while developing software
  • Payment software development experience such as PCI, P2PE, and EMV is a huge plus
  • Familiar with tools such as Jira, BitBucket, TeamCity, MS Office
