Position Summary:
A Sourcing Senior Specialist will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the execution and implementation of cost reduction initiatives, new product development, working capital improvement plans, and support of the operations locations to improve velocity and reduce lead times. The Sourcing senior specialist will have responsibilities involving sourcing, sourcing support, and transactional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and execution of direct sourcing strategies with cross-functional teams, including the analysis of best-in-class solutions, supplier capability, supplier relationship management, long-term, flexible supply solutions, cost analyses, etc.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships, including, but not limited to, business reviews, on-Time Delivery, supplier visits, and risk mitigation.
- Identify emerging trends and partner with internal customers, such as the Value Creation Manager, to create value and synergies across the organization.
- Provide leadership and support to Operations, Finance, Engineering, Materials, Material Planning, Global Sourcing, and Finance in support of local, global, and/or regional sourcing strategies and savings initiatives.
- Analyze markets to produce the lowest TCO.
- Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers to assure supply, control pricing, and mitigate risk.
- Identify and deliver savings projects.
- Utilize TCO tools to deliver the best total value.
- Build a strong network within DFS Sourcing, materials management, Dover Global Sourcing, and other DFS.
- Maintain a high ethical standard and adhere to laws and corporate policies and procedures, including Delegation of Authority and decision Authority, and all sourcing policies, such as Ethical Conduct and conflict of Interest.
- Proactively collect industry best practices and technology trends related to the position, lead benchmarking efforts, and provide insight to business unit leaders.
- Responsible for all supplier contracts related to related categories. Ensures the terms & conditions and cost & service components are in place to meet company requirements.
- Drives Global Supply Chain Policies and Procedure Adherence. Oversees implementation aspects and tracks changes, policy adoption, and business unit adherence
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as required by leadership
Candidate Experience and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 – 4 years of sourcing activities, including supplier identification, selection, and development
- Experience in OEM electronics
- Proven global sourcing activities are a plus
- Professional certification is a plus
Work Arrangement : Hybrid
Salary Range : $104,313.00 - $117,338.10
