In this role you’ll be… lead the continued design, deployment and maintenance of the effective MI Export Compliance Program, thus enabling the MI businesses and functions as well as selected business partners to comply with relevant export, import and customs compliance laws and regulations under the jurisdictions of the countries MI operates in.

You’ll have the opportunity to… cooperate closely with the Regional Trade Compliance teams and MI/Dover Law Department and Corporate Audit functions, reporting directly to the Chief Safety, Compliance & Sustainability Officer.

You should possess… at least 5 years of trade compliance background in multinational organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:


•Oversee company compliance with Export Compliance laws and regulations under US, EU and national export control laws and regulations in regard to MI products.
•Implement and maintain export controls and sanctions program elements globally.
•Stay updated on the Export and Re-export Control & Sanctions regulations in the US, EU and in countries MI operates in and implement changes to MI’s export compliance program as required.
•Provide oversight to the India Compliance Center of Excellence for restricted party and know your customer (RPS/KYC) screening activities.
•Interact professionally with government regulators and agencies.
•Effectively support the Chief Safety, Compliance and Sustainability Officer in completion of export compliance projects and initiatives.
•Support business functions on export compliance issues globally.
•Conduct compliance assessments and trainings globally.
•Oversee export classification of MI hardware, chemicals, software and technology.
•Closely collaborate with Regional Trade Compliance Managers or Champions to enable export compliant operations in these regions.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:


•Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade or related field.
•5 years of trade compliance background in multinational organization.
•Highly motivated, engaged and self-driven. Knowledge and skills to continuously review, design and deploy effective Trade Compliance Programs.
•Ability to understand and interpret complex customs and export control laws & regulations with a strong focus on US/EU/national requirements.
•Decisive Leadership style. Collaborative approach.
•Experience in leading and managing projects, meet deadlines and deliver.
•Strong analytical and conceptual skills; excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements in simple terms.
•Fluent English language skills a must, other languages a plus.

Available to travel up to 15%; flexible to work across global time zones.
