The role

In this role you will be responsible to secure the availability for a portfolio of outsourced products, spare parts, consumables, commodities and special engineering materials for the distribution centers. You’ll show  your capability to manage a diversified portfolio articles in a way that service and inventory turns will be maximized. A strong collaboration with internal stakeholders (Customer Service, Production Planner and Logistics) is required in order to succeed in this role.

 

What you’ll do

  • Execution of placing purchase orders to internal and external suppliers following the inventory management policy and contractual agreements.
  • Identifying and resolving possible gaps independently and escalates unsolved problems.
  • Preparing, analysing and communicating monthly forecasts to external suppliers. Discussing with them the feasibility and looking for alternative solutions to mitigate potential constraints.
  • Measuring and analysing suppliers’ delivery performances and elaborating / implementing joined improvement plans with suppliers and with the support of the Procurement Manager & Sourcing team.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve process in order to be aligned and potentially implement the change globally.
  • Communication with various internal stakeholders (logistics, customer service, material planner) to maintain continuous alignment and anticipate potential setbacks

 

 

What you need to have

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in managing procurement activities in a factory or in a logistics platform with strong knowledge/understanding of global intercompany process.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a team management role is a plus
  • MSc or technical degree in supply chain management
  • APICS certification: CPIM or CSCP are strong advantages for this position
  • Strong experience with SAP MM module (Super User is a plus)
  • Good knowledge and experience of MS excel functions (pivot tables and formulas)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written), other European language is highly desired, French is a plus
