The Role:


The Sales Training Methodology Manager position is a vital function to lead Sales training governance, ensure that knowledge is delivered through well-structured and focused training programs, and that new initiatives are delivered and executed in a timely fashion and within budget.


This is a functional position in a matrix business operation environment. This person is to determine and execute the Sales training methodology governance for MI, ensure alignment within the team based on that governance, provide Sales training consultation to ensure appropriate content and delivery execution, coordinate between various functions (global, zone, and local), manage the budget and relationship with third-party Sales training vendor, and support deployment of a competency program.


What you will do: 

  • Lead the Sales Training Methodology function for Training Governance within the Global Training team by determining the appropriate strategy needed to ensure the organization’s Sales training needs are met.
  • Ensure that the Training Content and Training Delivery pillars remain aligned with the Sales training methodology and strategy determined by the Training Governance pillar.
  • Provide Sales training consultancy specific to Sales content and delivery for the MI organization.
  • Provide program management of the Sales training activities.
  • Leverage best practices and content built by region.
  • Manage yearly Sales training budget for third-party vendor.
  • Be a role model Master Trainer and Facilitator (Sales).
  • Ensure strong communication with global/zone and local functions to maximize strength of the zone and country’s operations and provide timely updates to provide value-added service to meet the market-evolving demands.
  • Manage and coordinate with global and zone leaders to ensure Sales training materials are up to date and local language requirements are available.
  • Support the deployment of a skills mapping tool, to be deployed across the MI organization, from a Sales need perspective.


What you need to have: 

  • 5 to 10 years of experience within an international and matrix environment.
  • 10 years + in business management roles and/or training management responsibilities with large regional or global scope.
  • Ideally experience with implementing change and productivity enhancement programs with mid-size companies like MI.
  • Strong Sales experience (ideally in consultative selling, channel management, after market and pricing).
  • Experience in instructor-led courses and management of associated training activities.
  • Experience partnering with cross functional teams to drive continuous improvements on competency improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge in the principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Knowledge in the principles and techniques of coaching, mentoring, and performance consulting.
  • Proven record as a certified and qualified Sales trainer.
  • Proven record to develop and deploy Sales training competency program.
  • Knowledge in business and management principles and strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique and coordination.
  • Good command of English language, and other language/s will be advantage.
  • Able to prepare and do presentation, and able to communication fluently.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent logical thinking process to analyze empirical data and findings.
  • Possess the ability to troubleshoot and leverage on materials and internal resources to resolve situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent level of customer relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-oriented, personable and a team player.
