Role Overview:

A Marketo Specialist is responsible for implementing, managing and optimizing marketing automation campaigns using Adobe Marketo Engage. They play a key role in executing, monitoring, and improving digital marketing efforts, particularly in email marketing, lead nurturing, social media management and demand generation. Ensure data integrity through CRM integration, manage segmentation and analyze performance metrics.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Execution: Create, test, and deploy emails, landing pages, and forms within Marketo. Strategy and orchestration development for advanced programs such as automated trigger programs, smart campaigns, multi-channel, Dynamic Chat and target account management.
  • Lead Management: Develop and maintain lead scoring models, nurturing campaigns, and lead lifecycle management. Lead generation strategy and full funnel management. Be able to provide segmentation analysis on funnel performance.
  • System Administration: Manage the Marketo-CRM sync, maintain data hygiene, and configure segmentation. Manage Hootsuite set up for business teams.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Monitor campaign performance and lead gen pipeline, provide actionable insights, and conduct A/B testing. Understand Marketo attribution models and built-in reporting such as Marketo Performance Insights, Revenue Cycle Modelling and Predictive Analytics.
  • Technical Implementation: Use HTML/CSS for email/landing page creation and troubleshooting. Support enablement of AI capabilities within Marketo, such as New Email Designer AI and Interactive Webinar AI. Implement integrations through CRM native connectors, Launchpoint, and standard APIs.

 

Must Have Skills:

  • Experience: 8-10 years of hands-on Marketo experience in a B2B or B2C environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Adobe Marketo Engage, Marketo Technical Expert Certification preferred
  • Integrations: Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM integrations.
  • Skills: Proficient in data segmentation, HTML/CSS (web/email templates), analytical skills (ability to measure, analyze, and optimize campaign performance).
  • Certifications: Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) (Preferred) or other relevant certifications.
  • Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset, and strong communication skills. Must be proficient in discussing campaign strategies and success KPIs with business leaders.
