Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and Development of Mechanical for Printer products by understanding requirements
- Lead mechanical design reviews and drive improvements in design and hardware quality produced by internal and external engineers.
- Lead design work that would involve new product concepts
- Direct lab and field tests to verify operation/reliability of designs, systems, and components
- Perform Root Cause Analysis by troubleshooting complex, random failures reported in the field or development through local simulation of environment or on-site activities at the customer’s facility and complex analysis of reported data -through leadership and collaboration.
Must Have Skills:
- Component sizing
- Physical product architecture
- Proficiency in ISO GPS dimensioning Proficiency in plastic and metal machining (milling, turning, bar turning) + Plastic injection molding on technical materials (such as PPS, PEEK, etc.) + Fine stainless steel sheet metal work (bending, brushing, welding, riveting, etc.)
- Use of CAD and PLM software (CreO + Windchill => PTC Solution) Knowledge in one or more of following areas: materials, hydraulics, thermal management, etc.
