Role & responsibilities:
- Create and execute validation tests, and replicating applications
- Understand and replicate customer issues, bugs or new features
- Run before and after tests on new or changed Electrical or Mechanical Parts
- Develop and implement a VVQ test plan
- Perform software feature and Printed sample tests to qualify fixes
- Write up test reports and present reports to wider teams
- Perform regular validation of products Quartey firmware releases
- Working hands-on with Markem-Imaje coders, PC’s and HTML type UI’s
- Working hands on with loading substrates and running automatic test rigs
- Capturing high quality printed image samples
- Analyzing and decoding Barcodes, Text, OCR and printed images
- Working on documenting and standardizing tests, processing, and reporting
- Providing understandable feedback to firmware, mechanical and electrical team.
Must Have Skills:
- 3-5 years of Industry experience with Embedded/Firmware testing
- Self-motivated, passionate electrical-mechanical engineering test professional who understands and has experience with electrical hardware, software and automated testing, industrial automation, and delivering robust solutions
- Comprehensive knowledge of Software testing life cycle
- Good in writing test cases, test suite, test report and bug reporting
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong in analyzing the different Test scenario based on given User requirements and Test Coverage
- Ability to understand the functionality of the application under test
- Should be good in Risk analysis
- Ability to work within a team and Independent as well
- Knowledge on Bug Tracking tool and project management tools – JIRA, Jenkins, SourceTree, Bambo
