Designation: Senior Sourcing Engineer

Exp: 6 - 8 Years

Location: Bangalore

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Develop and implement category strategies to maximize cost savings and efficiency for indirect spends. Manage PR/PO process for Prototyping/Capex and other category spends. Lead NPI and CRM processes from sourcing while ensuring the best combination of QCD (Quality/cost/delivery) for projects led.
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while fostering long term relationships with key vendors. Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., HR, IT, Admin) to understand requirements and align sourcing strategies.
  • Negotiation & Contracting: Lead RFx processes (RFP, RFQ, RFI), negotiate commercial terms, and finalize contracts while executing PR/PO process. Drive cost reduction projects and manage sourcing spend to meet budgetary targets.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through supplier diversification and performance monitoring.
  • Process Improvement: Utilize and manage the in-house sourcing tool to improve procurement efficiency, manage/improve invoice to payment processing.

 

Must Have Skills:

 

  • 5–8 years’ experience into Indirect Purchase, experience into Prototyping, Admin, software, HR and IT spend categories is desirable. Exposure to NPI development process and proven track record of product development with suppliers is necessary.
  • Proven track record of Supplier identification, onboarding, negotiation, contract management, PR/PO process and stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record of initiating and leading NPI/development or sourcing (cost reduction) projects till execution and benefit realization.
  • Must be assertive, persuasive, analytical, and an excellent communicator with solid organization and prioritization skills. Must have strong MS Excel and MS powerpoint skills.
