Electro-mechanical Technician

 

The Electro-mechanical Technician is primarily responsible for building electrical control panels consisting of motion control devices and motor control components. This equipment must be tested using company procedures and maintain the company’s quality standard.

 

Potential candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 years of electrical wiring/panel assembly experience.
  • Experience with High voltage up to 480VAC
  • Experience with low voltage AC/DC control circuitry
  • Firm understanding of complex control and power devices including; VFD’s, Servos, PLC’s, HMI’s, Power Supplies, Transformers, Ethernet and other Communication devices, etc.
  • Familiar with UL508A requirements/standards
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute complex electrical wiring and panel builds from schematics/instructions
  • Efficient with the use of hand tools and test equipment such as, drills, jig saws, measuring devices, electrical meters, etc.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs frequently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willing and able to work independently or as a team player with minimal supervision to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Organized and good communication skills
