The Receiving clerk is responsible for the receipt and issuance of inventory for processing.  This employee ensures the accuracy of orders and positions material in the appropriate locations.  The receiving clerk will work directly with shipping/receiving, purchasing and other departments to maintain the manufacturing demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load and off-load material/supplies to/from UPS and common carriers
  • Inspecting contents to ensure accuracy of the order
  • Determine if delivered material complies with purchase order
  • Enter receipt and issuance of material/supplies using company’s inventory control system
  • Position material/supplies to appropriate location within the warehouse in a timely manner
  • Operate company forklift truck, pallet jack, hand truck, etc. as required
  • Facilitate returns for damaged or unsatisfactory products
  • Keeping work area neat and organized
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of UPS and Common Carrier processes.
  • Minimum of six months of receiving experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and inventory control software.
  • Forklift experience helpful.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

The noise level in the traditional indoor production warehouse environment is usually moderate.  There is limited exposure to physical risk in a production environment. The production warehouse is a fast-paced manufacturing environment where teamwork plays a pivotal role in the company’s success.
