POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Advisor will play a key role in providing HR support to employees and managers at our Bladel site, ensuring effective people management and compliance with company policies and Dutch labor laws. You will collaborate with site management and the global HR team to foster a positive and productive workplace.
This position is responsible for implementing HR strategies that align with DFS goals while enhancing HR operations through employee relations, policy development, and organizational programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR practices and labor laws in the Netherlands.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Europe, you will primarily work at our Bladel site but also support operations in Breda and Turnhout (Belgium).
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for the site, providing guidance and support.
- Provide advice and guidance on policies, procedures and legislation, promoting best practice.
- Ensure HR policies comply with Dutch employment law and industry standards.
- Support the recruitment and selection process, including identifying talent needs, sourcing and screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
- Support Global HR team on global HR processes and projects such as Performance review process, Change management, DFS culture, Career development, Engagement etc.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Manage social relations, including interactions with works council.
- Support and oversee employee relations issues, including conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, disciplinary measures across the organisation, providing counselling and support as required.
- Coordinate training programs that support employee development and organizational goals.
- Manage the payroll in collaboration with the external payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
- Address payroll-related inquiries, benefits administration, and leave policies in coordination with the regional HR team.
- Update and maintain employee data within all HR systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDPR.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have strong HR generalist background with experience in fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- Knowledge of up-to-date HR best practice related employee relations, payroll and labor law in the Netherlands
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in an HR generalist role and has a strong understanding of HR functions
- Understanding the overall operative HR processes and procedures
- Demonstrates the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity and builds strong and trusting sustainable relationships
- Be comfortable working in a complex, matrix, international environment
- Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs and HR software programs (Preferably SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, SD Worx)
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
